>Baseball?

>We were on our way into Miller Park to watch the Milwaukee Brewers play (and CC Sabathia pitch!) when this drove past us.

It’s not really going uphill; I just grabbed my cell phone camera as quickly as I can and aimed out the window. It was a lucky shot.
I think the Hot Dog won the Sausage Race that night. He’s the one with the big smile facing backwards. Cute, huh?
The Brewers? They won, too.

>Mysteries in the garden

>Mystery #1: With such thriving, growing, spreading plants, why is there no squash? Scarcity of pollinators? Late development due to June storms?

Mystery #2: Who stole my green peppers? There were three almost ready to pick. I waited two days, then went out with my bucket, and found no sign of them No seeds, no half-eaten scraps, no toothmarks in the plants, nothing.

Mystery #3: This one I can solve. The peas are just not growing well. This picture shows why: the beans have taken all the sun and very effectively block the light from the poor little pea plants. Note to self: Next year, learn from this.

This is a daylight photo with flash. Um, yeah, the beans are dominating.

>Perspective, it’s all in your perspective

>La Petite had a chance to hear Obama speak earlier this summer. She brought her camera, of course, and filled the memory card. But she didn’t just fill it with Obama. She was, as always, keenly observant of the scene around her, including the regular, ordinary people.

Little girl realizes she’s sitting near the governor.

The young “future voter” may be the focus of this picture, but look closely. All ages are represented in the crowd.

Politics? Fascinating – if you get the picture.
