>Loveliest of Trees

>It’s actually a mock cherry. The fruit isn’t edible, but the blossoms are gorgeous in the spring. I like to think it is putting on its best and brightest colors for Mother’s Day.

Now if you look closely, in the shade at the base of the tree, slightly to the right of the railroad ties, you’ll see a little visitor. She’s not one of our pets, but she seems to know that our yard is a safe place for bunnies.

>Where’s the bunny?

Where’s Waldo? No, where’s Tiny? This little bunny moved into Amigo’s room from his outdoor hutch when winter hit. Husband has been working in Amigo’s room, remodeling and repainting, and the small rabbit has found new places to hide and hang out and do rabbit things, like bathe and nap. Can you find him?
Okay, I give in. Here he is. He has taken this shelf, temporarily stashed in the middle of the room and currently empty of Braille books, as his own.

Cute, huh?

>Love Thursday

>

Charlie Brown said, “Happiness is a warm puppy.” In my home, happiness is a warm bunny, a cup of coffee, and a good book.

I love to reread good literature. I read a book the first time for the plot, the second time for the details, and the third time (and on beyond, if it’s worthy) for the writer’s craft. Lately, I’ve been re-reading the Harry Potter series. When the newest (and last) comes out in July, I’ll be ready.

>Love Thursday

>La Petite took this one. Only she could get this close to the bunnies without scaring them away.
I couldn’t settle on a caption, so here are a few choices.

Snuggle Bunnies
Afternoon Delight
Cat Nap
“Will you still respect me in the morning?”
Sunbathing Bunnies
“What was in those carrots, tryptophan?”

>Still Plays with Toys

>Tiny the rabbit actually plays with toys. while other bunnies will snuggle the humans, chew on firewood, and chase each other around the den, Tiny makes sure this truck (an old metal toy that’s rather heavy for a tiny one) gets the tow it needs.

“Hmm, what’s this? Need a little help, mister?
“Roll over!”
“What a drag.”

“A little push, and you’re back on the road. What ‘cha hauling, buddy? Carrots?”
