There really ought to be a theme song for tomato season. We could sing it to the tune of Oklahoma.
But back to reality, I’ve had a lot of tomatoes become ripe and on the way to ripe. I pick most of them so we can eat them and the wild things in the neighborhood can not.

Not an abundance at this stage, but still some trickling in as our days get cooler. I really look forward to tomato season, but sometimes it can get a it overwhelming when all of the kitchen surfaces are seemingly littered with them!
Well I don’t eat tomatoes anymore, but I used to make sauce and salsa when I had a counter top full of them.
